Bring it On

(I had started writing a new collection of poetry in 2020, just before COVID hit, to have been titled: "Moving On." I never finished it, and no longer have the desire to. Still, I wrote these and there's no reason not to share them.)


Living with someone again...

I knew it wasn't going to be easy.

No one could've foreseen

Just what life had in store for us though.

 

You hadn't even been moved in

Two entire weeks

And everything around us went to hell.

We couldn't leave the house.

There was nowhere to go.

Everything was closed.

 

"For better or worse...

In sickness and in health...

Till death do is part..."

We were put to the test

Before we were even married.

I was so worried about you.

But now here were are,

Riding through this storm together

Side by side.
